*** BIG THANK YOU TO ALL **

Hi everyone,
I would just like to take this opportunity to say a HUGE HUGE thank you for all who supported and attended the Colin McRae Weekender. I hope you all enjoyed the Saturday’s Tour of North Wales and also the Sunday show. I thoroughly enjoyed myself even though I was mad busy and didn’t get chance to sit down for 2 minutes !! I had every aim to go around and meet everyone during the Show but the time just went
It was terrific heading the Tour and seeing Colin’s car and all the Subaru’s behind me…it was breathtaking. The pictures taken by Rob from Freelance Photo’s will be soon available and the Video that was taken by Togethia TV on the Tour needs to be edited so this will be a couple of weeks or so before I have an update on that one. I will update this site and the Facebook page once I have news on both of these.
The main auction went really well, we managed to raise a substantial amount for the McRae Vision and big thank you to all who won the items.
I would like to make a special Thank you to all the Marshals who helped out on the Tour. The members from North Wales & Chester Scooby Club…Truly amazing work so thank you so much..I am still unsure how you got the cars into the Brondanw Arms Car Park without any problems…AND had space left :-D
The Watsons were the Marshals for the Sunday Show so again a big thank you for your assistance. I got a little flustered at time during the weekend so apologies if I just suddenly dissapeared to do something else :-)
I am also aware that a couple of errors were made during the weekend so all I can do is apologise for this. We have discovered a few areas that we can improve and aim to iron these out for the next event. It was me and my future wife Deborah who organised this two day event so as you can imagine we have been pretty busy the last few months. I do already have ideas for the next event but no date as yet !!
I have also set up a McRae Weekender Ebay account which will be selling items associated with the event and of course the monies raised from this will be going to the Vision as always. I will notify you all on here and Facebook when it has been set up.
If anyone would like to order the shirts that were available then please drop me an email with the size, colour and style(polo/T-shirt) and I will get an order processed.
If will also be setting up a Gallery section on here so if any of you wish to send me any videos or pictures of the event and wishes for them to be displayed then please drop me and email on the usual justin@seriesmcrae.com
Also, if anyone has any video or pictures of when I fired up Colin’s Legacy I would love to see them. I could not believe it when I got told that I could have the honour or starting it up…what an honour….I was gobsmacked and I am sure the smile on my face said it all.
Please feel free to leave me any feedback from the event whether it is good or bad, it all helps with the next event. Thanks
So, once again, thank you to all who attended and hope to do it again sometime,
Best regards
Justin & Debs

The Cheque Handover

After a long treck up to Scotland we arrived in Aberfeldy ready for the Colin McRae Forest Stages and of course the Friday evening forum where we were to hand over the cheque for the money raised from the Colin McRae Subaru Weekender 2011.

We arrived at the Forum with our Cheque and waited for our slot.
Stig Blomqvist, Phil Mills, David Bogie and Jimmy McRae were the guys getting questions asked from the host of the evening, Mr John Fife.
After their interviews it was our turn to hand over the cheque to Jimmy McRae. We got up and had this large cheque in our hand, but before I unveiled the amount that was written on the cheque we breifly explained that the amount was from the two day event and also from the Ebay account that was set up after the event to sell any other items.
We opened out the cheque and Jimmy McRae held one end and Debbie held the other to reveal the total amount of £6356.25
Jimmy personally thanked us for the donation and later the next day we had yet another thanks from more of the McRae Family.
This was a great amount that we all managed to raise. Just over £2500 was raised from the auction during the sundays show which was simply stunning. The rest was from the Main Gate, Raffles, Car Club & Trader donations and not forgetting the ‘McRae_Weekender’ Ebay sales.
So, all in all the very first Colin McRae weekender was a great success.
A HUGE thank you once again for all your support for this event and thank you for supporting the Colin McRae Vision Charity.
Best regards
Justin & Debbie
